Standon Bowers trip

Our students recently took part in some fantastic Survival skills at Standon Bowers that linked in with our  English theme of The Hunger Games and Dystopian

fiction.

Students foraged for wood to make a fire, using a steel and flint… This took a lot of skill and patience. All students were successful in this activity. We also built a shelter from resources found in the woods..

Students worked brilliantly as a team to get this done 15 minutes!

Climbing was the last activity for the day, students were shown how to correctly put on harnesses and safety gear.

All students tried different walls which were various levels of difficulty.
